Rheumatological basic screening program
Rheumatism is an autoimmune disease of connective tissues, which mostly occurs in the heart tissues. Diseases considered under rheumatology occur not only in elderly people.
Most often rheumatism is preceded by acute or chronic nasopharyngeal infection, which in its turn, is associated with streptococcus. Its components and toxins cause the immune inflammation. Natural (genetic) predisposition to the disease also plays an important role. This is supported by statistical studies, which prove that children are more often subject to the disease, if one of the parents suffers from rheumatism.
At Anadolu Medical Center, we carry out the whole range of biochemical analyses developed for determination of the disease itself, as well as predisposition to it. The following analyses are carried out in our clinic: hsCRP (С-reactive protein, high sensitivity), RF (rheumatoid factor), sedimentation (blood sedimentation rate), antinuclear factor.
Following the diagnostics, the patient gets the written conclusion, where the detailed description and certain recommendations oriented to management or recession of the disease are provided, or predisposition to it is specified. Any family where one of the parents suffers from rheumatism shall check their children for predisposition to this disease. On-time detection of predisposition to the disease will help to prevent it, and early detection of disease will minimize all possible consequences.
